Dualit - NewGen 2 Slice Glacier Blue Toaster - DU-CTGB-2

Unfortunately, the toaster arrived damaged and even though the outside box was OK the 'Dualit' box in which it was encased was battered and the toaster inside had scratches, a dent and broken plastic clip that keeps the crumb tray in place.

We have had a Dualit toaster for a number of years now and have been very pleased with its quality and operation. We needed a second toaster for our motorhome and bought an inexpensive model as it would not see much use. The inexpensive model was slow and toast was dried out. We discarded the inexpensive toaster and have purchased this second Dualit for the motorhome. Yes it costs more but the better quality is worth the extra price.

Genuinely didn't think I'd be that much more impressed by it than a $20 toaster. I bought it for the longevity, simplicity and looks.

It makes perfect toast, and looks great on my counter. Happy with it.

Sometimes simple is better. It doesn't get much simpler than mechanical switches and timers. I saw some reviews that complained about feeling like your breaking the timer when you force it back to off but I did not find it that bad. Everything we put in came out toasted evenly. Only reason for not giving it 5 stars is that the crumb tray feels really cheap compared to the rest of the toaster.

Works good! Like that the parts are replaceable.

I bought this toaster mainly because of it's narrow width and modern looks.

Upon receiving it I was impressed by the quality of construction, solid and well made!

With regards to usage the heating elements are powerful.. I get good results quickly at a setting of 4 on a max of 8! But the most important quality of this toaster is that you can lift the lever to actually see the toasts before the allotted time without stopping the process! In this way I am able to get the bread just lightly toasted on the outside and soft on the inside...marvellous!!

Finally a quality toaster. Our family went through dozen of toaster made in china and doesn’t matter how expensive they were ALL junk that doesn’t last.If You want a lasting toaster and stop wasting ressources; then buy a Dualit NewGen. Enough said.
