    Disappointed

    The griddle arrived with three small nicks out of the finish on the smooth side but I decided to keep it anyway as the marks wouldn't affect the performance. The griddle slides around too easily on my gas range racks and the edges it sits on will no doubt have the finish wear off with such movement. My previous griddle had notches on the short ends that fit the stove racks to keep the griddle from moving around. I've been very careful to keep to a medium to low heat but food has stuck/burnt and it's been really hard to get those raised burn marks off, in fact I left the marks after much soaking, scrubbing with a soft scrub sponge and a plastic scraper as I was afraid to harm the non-stick coating. The worst marks were just from toasting dry bread so now I know every use will need some oil brushed on the griddle surface first. I thought non-stick was supposed to be non-stick! I research my purchases and try to buy from North American manufacturers and suppliers. I have other Nordic Ware products that I'm very happy with that will probably serve me for life, they're that well made. This one not so much.
