The Messermeister Four Seasons 12" Round Tip Kullenschliff Slicer has a round-tip that gives you more blade. The alternating kullenschliffs (a.k.a. kullens, hollows or grantons) on each side of the knife reduce drag and prevent items from sticking to the blade.

I'm not sure if I'm just using this knife wrong or if it's really that bad. It barely cuts through tomatoes and has trouble even cutting through a piece of folded up paper.
I have a 10 year old dull knife that cuts better than this
