Heat
Heats water to the proper temperature of 92 – 94 degrees Celsius (198 - 204 ÀöF) and keeps it consistent through the whole brew cycle, ensuring proper flavour extraction from your coffee grounds.
Speed
The Technivorm's brew cycle finishes in about six minutes. That's much shorter than other brewers, and better for your coffee.

The Technivorm Moccamaster KBGT 741 is an excellent 10 cup coffee maker to produce 1.25 ltr/ 10 cups of coffee directly into the stainless steel thermojug.

I ‘m a bit disappointed the way the plate that the thermos sits on doesn’t really fit well
Also you have to make sure you line up the thermos exactly under the trigger of the coffee funnel or the coffee won’t drip into the thermos and runs all over the counter
So for the cost of the machine …. I thought it would be a little better quality. My son has an older machine and his is a better quality machine.

The machine looks great and the coffee tastes great.....which checks most of the boxes obviously. The plastic components feel extremely cheap though.....which is not what I expected for a Technivorm Moccamaster product that's priced in the $400 range.....was a bit shocked by that - it's my first Technivorm product.....was using a bonavita before and the plastic components were solid. However, the Technivorm does come with a 5-year warranty so perhaps a non-issue for the first 5 years assuming any failed cheap plastic components would be replaced under warranty......after that, I suppose you're on the hook to purchase parts.
