Description
The black, matte enamel interior of the frying pans by Staub means the pans need no seasoning and build up their non-stick qualities after each use. The cast iron material of the pan ensures even heat distribution resulting in perfectly cooked food.
A variation on a classic, this fry pan has everything you love about cast iron, but with a stylish beechwood handle that stays cool while cooking. The fry pan body is constructed of Staub's prized cast iron, enameled in a slightly textured Black Matte to promote browning. Cast iron efficiently retains heat for even cooking throughout the whole process. The bottom is polished and smooth to allow it to work with all cooktops, including glass, induction, electric, and gas.
- Smooth enamel bottom works on all stovetops
- Sloped sides for easy flipping
- Beechwood handle stays cool
- Rough texture results in exceptional browning
- Requires no seasoning
- Made in France

With its innovative inventions, STAUB clearly optimizes the benefits of the cocotte, creating outstanding cookware that is treasured by professional & home chefs around the world & probably by you – as soon as you start cooking with STAUB.
THE SECRET OF OUR LID
Luckily this secret actually isn’t that secret, so we are happy to share it. Let’s start with the specially-contoured lid and its excellent moisture-retention properties. Its self-basting system ensures a continuous rainfall effect evenly over the cocotte’s contents. This guarantees that each ingredient retains its full flavor. Meat does not dry out and vegetables remain tender.
THE SECRET OF OUR FINISH
The interior of all STAUB pots is enameled with a high-quality black matte finish with ideal properties for searing, roasting and caramelizing food. And here’s some more delicious news: enameled cast iron preserves the nutritional values and full aromas for every ingredient. Whatever dishes you prepare in the STAUB cocotte, you can count on a tasty and nutritional result for mouthwatering meals.
