Description
The Messermeister San Moritz Elite 6" Chef's Knife, also known as a Cook's Knife or French Knife, is the most versatile knife in the kitchen and thus the most used blade style by professional chefs. The broad bladed knife has a spine which gradually tapers to the cambered, cutting edge and creates a pointed tip. This knife also has a bolster in front of the handle which gradually tapers to the tip. Because of this geometry, this is the one knife that should be well balanced with weight distributed equally between the handle and the blade.
- One piece, fully forged
- Hand-polished "Elite" edge
- Bolsterless edge
- Cambered chef's knife blade
- Extra-wide chef's knife blade
- Ergonomic balance
- Molded "POM" handle
- Polished spine
Usage
- The blade is shaped so that it can peel, trim, slice, dice, chop, mince, vegetables, fillet fish, and cut meat. Each part of the knife is designed to perform a different task. It is the flagship of cutlery.
San Moritz Elite has the completely molded, ergonomic, contemporary handle of Messermeister's Elite series. It is one-piece, hot-drop, hammer forged from a single billet of the finest German steel alloy and outfitted with durable industrial strength handles. San Moritz Elite knives are handcrafted one at a time by 3rd and 4th generation cutlery artisans in Solingen, Germany.
