Description

Created with Master Bladesmith Bob Kramer, the KRAMER by ZWILLING EUROLINE Stainless Steel Damascus Collection features stainless steel blades made to his exacting standards, maximizing curves, balance and utility. Bob's design has an extremely wide blade to maximize knuckle clearance for larger hands and for cutting through large produce and piles of food. Chopped food can easily be transported with this impressive, broad blade.

The knives are hand-finished with a traditional 3-step process by skilled Japanese artisans. Combined with the SG2 micro-carbide powder steel, the ice-hardened CRYODUR blades deliver scalpel-like sharpness, stay sharper longer and can withstand more sharpening over their lifespan. The SG2 super steel core is protected by an exceptionally beautiful 100-layer Chevron Damascus pattern, which is complimented by a stunning black linen Micarta handle and signature Bob Kramer mosaic pin.

The sharp tip makes this knife especially good for paring. Besides that it’s perfect for peeling, cutting, cleaning and garnishing fruit and vegetables.

Features:
  • Handcrafted in Seki, Japan
  • Blade core made of SG2 powder steel, embedded in 100 layers of steel of two varying grades of hardness
  • Durable edge with incredible initial sharpness & outstanding cutting edge retention
  • CRYODUR ice-hardened blades provide corrosion resistance & optimum blade flexibility
  • Micarta handle (multi-layered material made of linen and synthetic resin) with stainless steel rivets & decorative logo pin
  • Handle is highly dimensionally stable and moisture-resistant
  • Non-slip ergonomically-shaped handle for comfortable cutting
  • Each knife is a unique work of art with a distinctive Damask pattern
Past Prepared Us For the Future

Past Prepared Us For the Future

In 1731 Peter Henckels registered the ZWILLING trademark with the Cutler’s Guild of Solingen, Germany. A brilliant idea indeed because that makes ZWILLING one of the oldest brands in the world & Germans are well known for their love of traditions. We have a 288-year-old brand history that we are eager to share with everyone & we are a modern, forward-thinking company that is all about future cooking trends & technologies.

CHOOSE ONLY THE BEST INGREDIENTS

CHOOSE ONLY THE BEST INGREDIENTS

Every great recipe starts with great ingredients. When it comes to our high-quality knives and cookware it is our ZWILLING special formula steel. It’s called “ZWILLING Sonderschmelze” and features an impressively well-balanced combination of chrome and carbon, which is the secret to producing a steel of supreme quality. Our master bladesmiths train for 8 years before they get their hands on our knives.

Forging is at the heart of the production of knives. The knife is given its shape by the use of temperature and force under extreme conditions. SIGMAFORGE knives are precision-forged from a single piece of steel. The result is a perfect geometry and we always strive for perfection when it comes to our knives. When you hold a ZWILLING product, you can be sure you are holding a piece of history.

Cool It Down

We have optimized the hardening process to obtain the optimum degree of hardness – because the right hardness is simply everything. If the steel is too soft, the knife will become blunt. If it too hard, it will break. Our special ice-hardening process guarantees flexible FRIODUR blades with extremely good cutting edge retention and exceptional corrosion resistance.

    Christmas present

This is a Christmas present for my boyfriend, who loves to cook. He told me about Kramer knives and they were the best one could buy. I know he will love it.
